Rezumat
Amiodarone increases serum digoxin concentrations, often substantially, and may lead to digoxin toxicity. Additive effects on sinus and AV nodal function raise the risk of bradycardia and heart block. The interaction develops over days to weeks and can persist because of amiodarone's long half-life.
