摘要
Coadministration of ethinyl estradiol-containing products with this HCV regimen has produced marked ALT elevations in clinical trials. The risk of liver injury makes the combination unsuitable. Ritonavir may also reduce contraceptive hormone exposure.

The mechanism of the ALT elevation is not established; ritonavir may also alter estrogen metabolism.
