Pyridostigmine increases acetylcholine by inhibiting cholinesterase, whereas flavoxate blocks muscarinic receptors. Their effects oppose each other, which may blunt the muscarinic effects of pyridostigmine on bladder or gut. Muscle strength effects at nicotinic receptors are not blocked.
What this interaction means in plain words
Flavoxate and Pyridostigmine can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Why it happens
Pharmacodynamic antagonism at muscarinic receptors.
