What this interaction means in plain words

Indacaterol inhaled and Isoproterenol can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Evidence level: Moderate

Why it happens

Additive beta-adrenergic receptor agonism, including cardiac beta-1 and beta-2 mediated effects and potassium shift.

What to do

Monitor heart rate, ECG, blood pressure and serum potassium if both are required. Avoid additional beta agonists when possible and reduce doses if cardiovascular adverse effects appear.
