What this interaction means in plain words
Nicardipine and Trimagnesium can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
Why it happens
Additive calcium antagonism and vasodilation from magnesium and nicardipine.
What to do
Monitor blood pressure and for muscle weakness, especially with intravenous magnesium or in renal impairment. Reduce the dose of either drug if hypotension occurs.
