Summary

Both oxytocin (at higher doses or rapid infusion) and sympathomimetic vasoconstrictors can raise blood pressure. With intranasal xylometazoline the systemic exposure is small, so any additive pressor effect is expected to be modest and mainly relevant with overuse.

What this interaction means in plain words

Oxytocin and Xylometazoline have a small, usually unimportant interaction. Most people can take both; the pharmacist may still mention it so that any unexpected effect is recognised.

Oxytocin belongs to Endocrine; Xylometazoline belongs to Respiratory.
