Résumé
Procarbazine has monoamine oxidase inhibitor activity, and amoxapine is a tricyclic antidepressant that inhibits noradrenaline and serotonin reuptake. Together they can cause serotonin syndrome or hypertensive reactions, with agitation, hyperthermia, autonomic instability and seizures.

Amoxapine and Procarbazine are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

MAO inhibition combined with reuptake inhibition raises synaptic monoamine concentrations, with additive serotonergic and adrenergic effects.
