Résumé
Safinamide is contraindicated with tricyclic and related antidepressants such as amoxapine due to the risk of serotonin syndrome. Severe cases can be life threatening.

Amoxapine and Safinamide are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
Pourquoi elle survient
Amoxapine inhibits serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake, adding to monoamine accumulation from MAO-B inhibition.
