Résumé
Combining a cephalosporin with an aminoglycoside may raise the risk of kidney injury, and streptomycin carries its own risk of vestibular and hearing damage. The additive risk with ceftazidime is modest and mainly relevant in patients with renal impairment, older age or dehydration.
