Résumé
Combining a cephalosporin with an aminoglycoside may raise the risk of kidney injury, and tobramycin itself can damage the kidneys and inner ear. The additive risk with ceftazidime is modest and mainly relevant in patients with renal impairment, older age or dehydration.
