Résumé
Ceftriaxone can form insoluble calcium-ceftriaxone precipitates when mixed with calcium-containing solutions such as lactated Ringer's. Fatal cases of lung and kidney deposits have occurred in neonates. Labeling contraindicates concomitant use in neonates and prohibits mixing in the same line for all patients.

In patients older than 28 days, sequential administration is acceptable only if the line is thoroughly flushed with a compatible fluid between infusions.
