Résumé
Dipyridamole inhibits cellular adenosine uptake and deamination, which can potentiate adenosine receptor-mediated effects and alter the response to the A2A agonist regadenoson during myocardial perfusion imaging. The result may be unpredictable vasodilation, hypotension or altered test performance.
Ce que signifie cette interaction, en termes simples
Dipyridamole and Regadenoson can interact in a way that may be serious. Using them together is sometimes necessary, but it needs a deliberate decision by the prescriber, a plan for monitoring, and clear advice on the warning signs to watch for.
Dipyridamole belongs to Cardiovascular; Regadenoson belongs to Cardiovascular.
Pourquoi elle survient
Dipyridamole raises adenosine levels and alters adenosine receptor signaling, so the pharmacodynamic response to regadenoson is unpredictable.
Conduite à tenir
Withhold dipyridamole for at least 2 days before regadenoson stress testing, as recommended in labeling. Monitor blood pressure and ECG during the procedure if exposure cannot be avoided.
