Résumé

Oxcarbazepine can lower rilpivirine plasma concentrations through induction of CYP3A4. Reduced exposure may lead to loss of virologic suppression and development of resistance to rilpivirine and the NNRTI class.

Oxcarbazepine and Rilpivirine are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
