Long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA); often referred to as an anticholinergic; produces bronchodilation by inhibiting acetylcholine’s effect on muscarinic receptors in the airway smooth muscle.

Surgery (Preoperative): 4mcg/kg IM 30-60 min before surgery. (Intraoperative): 0.1 mg IV; may repeat q2-3min

- Safe No milk data; it is poorly absorbed by the infant (quaternary drug). Single doses (e.g. anaesthesia) and inhaled or skin use are unlikely to matter. Long-term oral use may reduce milk supply; watch the infant's weight gain.
