Összefoglaló

Itraconazole raises disopyramide concentrations and both drugs prolong the QT interval. This can cause torsades de pointes and other serious arrhythmias, as well as anticholinergic and hypoglycemic effects from high disopyramide levels.

Mit jelent ez a kölcsönhatás közérthetően

Disopyramide and Itraconazole are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Disopyramide belongs to Cardiovascular; Itraconazole belongs to Anti Fungals.

Bizonyítékszint: High

Miért jön létre

CYP3A4 inhibition raises disopyramide levels, with additive QT prolongation.

Teendő

Avoid the combination. Use a non-interacting antiarrhythmic or an antifungal without CYP3A4 inhibition.
