Per cosa si usa
Come agisce
Pinaverium bromide is a locally acting spasmolytic agent of the digestive tract. Its mechanism of action relies upon inhibition of calcium ion entrance into smooth muscle cells.
Dose abituale nell'adulto (sintesi del foglio illustrativo)
1 tab 2 times daily. Total Daily Dose: 200 mg. The dosage may be increased up to a maximum of 1 tab 3 times daily. Maximum Total Daily Dose: 300 mg.
Gravidanza e allattamento
- Gravidanza
- Unknown No relevant human data; animal studies are insufficient. Canadian label (Dicetel): use in pregnancy only if essential; because it contains bromide, use late in pregnancy could in theory cause newborn floppiness or sedation, though no such case has been reported.
- Allattamento
- Safe No data on milk levels. Canadian and French labels: do not use while breastfeeding (a risk to the infant cannot be excluded). e-lactancia: very poorly absorbed and highly protein bound, so it is unlikely to reach the infant in meaningful amounts; probably compatible.
Effetti indesiderati segnalati
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Abdominal pain
Chi deve prestare attenzione
- Contains Sunset yellow, an azo colouring agent that may cause allergic reactions.
