Come agisce
Humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that selectively binds the p19 subunit of human IL-23 and inhibits its interaction with the IL-23 receptor, reducing release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines.

Plaque psoriasis: 150 mg, subcutaneous injection, at Week 0, Week 4, and every 12 weeks thereafter

- Unknown Data are insufficient to show a risk; a registry exists. Antibodies cross the placenta, mainly late in pregnancy, and may suppress the infant's immunity. Monkeys had more fetal and infant deaths at high doses. Use only if needed; delay live vaccines in exposed infants.
- Allattamento
- Safe No human milk data. A large antibody: milk levels are likely very low and it is probably digested in the infant's gut. Some expert guidelines consider it acceptable while breastfeeding (LactMed). US label: weigh benefits.

Controindicazioni
- History of serious hypersensitivity reaction to risankizumab-rzaa or any excipients.
Chi deve prestare attenzione
- Serious hypersensitivity reactions including anaphylaxis may occur; discontinue and treat immediately if it occurs.
- May increase risk of infection; do not start in clinically important active infection and withhold if one develops until resolved.
- Evaluate for TB before initiating; do not give to patients with active TB; monitor for TB signs during and after treatment.
