Sintesi
Rifapentine is a strong inducer of CYP3A4 and P-gp and is expected to substantially reduce velpatasvir and sofosbuvir levels. This may lead to HCV treatment failure.

Rifapentine and Sofosbuvir-velpatasvir are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
