Unknown No adequate human data; in animals it caused incomplete bone formation at doses similar to human exposure. Use only if clearly needed; amphotericin B is usually preferred for serious fungal infections in pregnancy.

Safe No human milk data (found in rat milk). LactMed: high protein binding and poor oral absorption make infant exposure unlikely, and it is used in infants; treatment is not a reason to stop breastfeeding.
