作用のしくみ
Drug combination of beta-lactamase inhibitor with Cefoperazone, a third-generation cephalosporin, interferes with cell wall synthesis by binding to the penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), thus preventing cross-linking of nascent peptidoglycan.

2 to 4 g per day (i.e. 1 to 2 g per day cefoperazone activity) given intravenously or intramuscularly in equally divided doses every 12 hours.

- Safe Cefoperazone and sulbactam: no clear harm in available data, and the ampicillin-sulbactam combination is widely used in pregnancy. Cefoperazone can lower clotting factors. Use when needed, with clotting checks if at risk.

- Safe Cefoperazone reaches milk in low amounts; sulbactam passes into milk in small amounts (data from ampicillin-sulbactam). Acceptable; watch the infant for loose stools or thrush.
