概要
Intravesical BCG is a live attenuated mycobacterium that must remain viable to act. Systemic antibiotics, particularly those with antimycobacterial activity, may reduce its effect. Imipenem has limited mycobacterial activity, but BCG labeling advises postponing unnecessary antimicrobials.
