概要
Both agents can be associated with metabolic acidosis: dichlorphenamide through renal bicarbonate loss from carbonic anhydrase inhibition, and sevelamer hydrochloride through its chloride load. Together they may lower serum bicarbonate further, particularly in patients with kidney disease.
この相互作用をわかりやすく説明すると
Dichlorphenamide and Sevelamer can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
Dichlorphenamide belongs to Miscellaneous; Sevelamer belongs to Miscellaneous.
なぜ起こるのか
Additive pharmacodynamic effect on acid-base balance, with bicarbonate loss from carbonic anhydrase inhibition plus chloride load from sevelamer hydrochloride.
対処法
Monitor serum bicarbonate and electrolytes at baseline and periodically during combined use. Consider sevelamer carbonate rather than the hydrochloride salt, and correct acidosis if it develops.

The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
How serious is the interaction between Dichlorphenamide and Sevelamer?
MediHelp rates it moderate, on a four-level scale (minor, moderate, major, contraindicated) based on published labels and references. What to do, in brief: Monitor serum bicarbonate and electrolytes at baseline and periodically during combined use. Consider sevelamer carbonate rather than the hydrochloride salt, and correct acidosis if it develops.
