概要
Ketoconazole raises systemic exposure to dihydroergotamine even when it is given intranasally. This increases the risk of serious vasospasm and ischemia, and the combination is contraindicated in labeling.

Dihydroergotamine intranasal and Ketoconazole are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Strong CYP3A4 inhibition by ketoconazole reduces the metabolic clearance of dihydroergotamine.
