概要
Vardenafil enhances the vasodilating effect of nitrates, producing severe and potentially fatal hypotension. Ischemia may follow.

Nitroglycerin po and Vardenafil are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
なぜ起こるのか
Nitric oxide donation raises cGMP while vardenafil inhibits PDE5 degradation of cGMP, causing excessive vasodilation.
対処法
Do not co-administer. Keep nitrates at least 24 hours away from vardenafil and use non-nitrate alternatives when treatment is needed in that window.
