概要
Vardenafil potentiates the vasodilating effect of nitrates, including rectal glyceryl trinitrate. The result can be severe, potentially fatal hypotension, syncope or myocardial ischemia.

PDE5 inhibition prevents cGMP breakdown, amplifying nitric-oxide-mediated vasodilation from the nitrate.
