Resumo
Monacolin K in red yeast rice is lovastatin, and cyclosporine markedly raises lovastatin exposure through CYP3A4 and OATP1B1 inhibition. This increases the risk of myopathy and rhabdomyolysis, particularly in transplant recipients.
