Как действует
Autologous CD34+ cells are transduced with an ARSA lentiviral vector, inserting functional ARSA cDNA copies into HSCs. After infusion the cells engraft, repopulate the hematopoietic compartment and produce ARSA enzyme, which can break down or prevent harmful sulfatide accumulation.

- Thrombosis and thromboembolic events: a fatal cerebral infarction occurred; evaluate thrombosis risk factors before and after infusion and consider anti-thrombotic prophylaxis.
- Encephalitis: monitor for signs or symptoms after treatment; may trigger relapsing-remitting disease progression.
- Serious infection: severe Grade 3 infections occurred in 39% of children; monitor and give prophylactic antimicrobials.
