Safe Provitamin B5. Topical use (creams, eye gel, nasal spray) gives negligible exposure, and pantothenic acid is a normal nutrient; compatible with pregnancy. No harm is expected from injection at usual doses.

Safe Pantothenic acid is a normal component of milk. Topical dexpanthenol is commonly used on sore nipples and is compatible with breastfeeding.
