ACE inhibitor-treated patients undergoing protein A immunoadsorption have experienced anaphylactoid reactions, related to bradykinin accumulation.

Amlodipine-perindopril and Protein a column are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

ACE inhibition prevents bradykinin breakdown, so bradykinin accumulates during column exposure and triggers anaphylactoid reactions.
處置方式
Stop perindopril well before the procedure (about 72 hours per labeling) and use another antihypertensive class meanwhile.
