摘要

BCG vaccine contains live attenuated mycobacteria. In golimumab-treated patients, impaired granuloma function may allow disseminated BCG infection.

TNF is essential for granuloma formation and mycobacterial containment, so its blockade permits BCG dissemination.

Do not give BCG during golimumab therapy. If needed, vaccinate at least 4 weeks before starting treatment.
