Summary

Etrasimod reduces circulating lymphocytes and has not been studied with antineoplastic or immunomodulating agents. Combined with lenalidomide, which causes myelosuppression and immune effects, additive risk of infection and cytopenias is possible.

What this interaction means in plain words

Etrasimod and Lenalidomide can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Etrasimod belongs to Gastrointestinal Tract; Lenalidomide belongs to Oncology.

Evidence level: Low

Why it happens

Additive immunosuppression from S1P receptor modulation, which sequesters lymphocytes, and lenalidomide immunomodulation and myelosuppression.

What to do

Avoid combining where feasible; if needed, monitor blood counts and signs of infection closely during and for weeks after etrasimod.
