Summary
Both drugs increase urinary potassium loss, so combined use can cause additive hypokalemia. Hydrocortisone's mineralocorticoid activity compounds the effect of the loop diuretic. Low potassium may lead to arrhythmias, particularly with digoxin or underlying heart disease.
What this interaction means in plain words
Furosemide and Hydrocortisone can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Why it happens
Additive renal potassium wasting from loop diuretic action and mineralocorticoid effect of hydrocortisone.
