Summary

Voclosporin is nephrotoxic, but griseofulvin is not a recognized nephrotoxin. Griseofulvin may also weakly induce CYP3A4 and reduce voclosporin exposure, which could blunt its effect.

What this interaction means in plain words

Griseofulvin and Voclosporin can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Griseofulvin belongs to Anti Fungals; Voclosporin belongs to Miscellaneous.

Evidence level: Low

Why it happens

Weak CYP3A4 induction by griseofulvin may lower voclosporin concentrations; additive nephrotoxicity is unproven.

What to do

Monitor renal function and proteinuria response in lupus nephritis, and adjust the voclosporin dose per labeling.
