Mécanisme d'action
Long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) often referred to as an anticholinergic; blocks action of acetylcholine at muscarinic receptors (M1 to M5) in the bronchial airways (M3) by preventing increase in intracellular calcium concentration, leading to relaxation of airway smooth muscle, improved lung function, and decreased mucus secretion.

COPD: 62.5 mcg (1 actuation) inhaled once a Day.

- Grossesse
- Unknown Inhaled; insufficient human data. No harm in rats or rabbits at about 50 to 200 times human exposure. Use only if the benefit outweighs the risk; poorly controlled COPD or asthma is a greater risk.
- Allaitement
- Safe No human milk data. Inhalation gives low blood levels and any drug in milk would not be absorbed by the infant. US label: weigh benefits. LactMed: small risk; breastfeeding can be continued.

- Severe hypersensitivity to milk proteins
- Demonstrated hypersensitivity to umeclidinium or any of the excipients
Précautions particulières
- Contraindicated in people with Severe hypersensitivity to milk proteins
- Worsening of narrow-angle glaucoma may occur
- Paradoxical bronchospasm reported; discontinue and treat immediately with an inhaled, prompt-acting bronchodilator (eg, albuterol)
