Résumé
Cyclobenzaprine is structurally related to tricyclic antidepressants, and its labeling contraindicates use with or within 14 days of MAO inhibitors. Combining it with selegiline, an MAO inhibitor, can cause serotonin syndrome, hypertensive crisis, severe convulsions, and death.

Cyclobenzaprine and Selegiline transdermal are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Inhibition of MAO by selegiline combined with the serotonergic and noradrenergic reuptake effects of cyclobenzaprine leads to excess monoamine activity.
