Résumé

Darunavir, usually given with ritonavir or cobicistat, strongly inhibits CYP3A4 and markedly raises salmeterol exposure. This can cause QT prolongation, palpitations and arrhythmias. It also raises systemic fluticasone levels, with a risk of Cushing's syndrome and adrenal suppression.

Darunavir and Fluticasone-salmeterol are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
