Résumé
Tadalafil markedly potentiates the hypotensive effect of nitrates, which can cause severe, potentially life-threatening hypotension, syncope or myocardial ischaemia. The effect persists for a prolonged period because of tadalafil's long half-life. Nitrates in any form are contraindicated with tadalafil.

Nitrates increase cGMP by nitric oxide release while tadalafil inhibits PDE5-mediated cGMP breakdown, causing excessive vasodilation.
Conduite à tenir
Do not coadminister. Nitrates should not be given within at least 48 hours after tadalafil, and in emergencies the decision should be under close medical supervision.
