概要
Vitamin D increases intestinal absorption of aluminum, and chronic use of aluminum-containing antacids can lead to aluminum accumulation. This is most important in renal impairment, where aluminum toxicity can cause bone disease and neurotoxicity.
この相互作用をわかりやすく説明すると
Aluminum hydroxide and Cholecalciferol can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
Aluminum hydroxide belongs to Gastrointestinal Tract; Cholecalciferol belongs to Musculoskeletal.
なぜ起こるのか
Vitamin D enhances gastrointestinal aluminum absorption, and aluminum is poorly excreted in renal failure.
対処法
Avoid long-term aluminum antacids in patients taking vitamin D, particularly with renal impairment; use a non-aluminum alternative.
