概要
Ceftazidime given with an aminoglycoside such as kanamycin may add to kidney injury risk, and aminoglycosides also carry ototoxic potential. The risk is greatest in patients with pre-existing renal impairment, older age, dehydration or prolonged therapy. Combination is used clinically but warrants monitoring.
