概要
Dexmethylphenidate increases synaptic norepinephrine and dopamine, and linezolid blocks their breakdown. This can provoke hypertensive crisis.

Dexmethylphenidate and Linezolid are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

MAO inhibition by linezolid potentiates catecholamines released or retained by dexmethylphenidate.
対処法
Avoid combination and do not give dexmethylphenidate during or within 14 days of an MAOI. If linezolid is essential, hold the stimulant and monitor blood pressure.
