概要
Oxcarbazepine can lower rilpivirine plasma concentrations through induction of CYP3A4. Reduced exposure may lead to loss of virologic suppression and development of resistance to rilpivirine and the NNRTI class.

Oxcarbazepine induces CYP3A4, increasing the metabolism of rilpivirine, a CYP3A4 substrate.

Avoid the combination, as rilpivirine labeling contraindicates enzyme-inducing anticonvulsants of this type. Use an alternative antiseizure drug with no inducing effect, or an alternative antiretroviral regimen.
