概要
Sapropterin is a synthetic form of tetrahydrobiopterin, and its recycling depends on folate-related enzymes. Pyrimethamine inhibits dihydrofolate reductase, which is also involved in pterin metabolism, so sapropterin effect may be reduced. The clinical significance is uncertain.
