What this interaction means in plain words
Estradiol and Griseofulvin can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
Estradiol belongs to Endocrine; Griseofulvin belongs to Anti Fungals.
Why it happens
Griseofulvin induces hepatic CYP3A4 and related enzymes, accelerating estradiol metabolism.
What to do
Monitor for loss of estrogen effect or breakthrough bleeding and consider dose adjustment. For contraception, advise an additional non-hormonal method during and for a period after griseofulvin therapy.
