Mécanisme d'action
Erythropoietin receptor activator with greater activity in vivo as well as increased half-life, in contrast to erythropoietin. Erythropoietin is produced in the kidney and released into the bloodstream in response to hypoxia.
Posologie adulte habituelle (résumé de la notice)
Anemia Associated with Chronic Renal Failure: 0.6 mcg/kg IV/SC q2week initially

- Allaitement
- Safe Not known if it passes into milk; EU label: weigh breastfeeding against treatment. Erythropoietin is a normal part of milk, and the similar epoetin alfa is considered acceptable (LactMed); it is poorly absorbed by the infant.
