概要
Chlorthalidone reduces urinary calcium excretion, and combined with calcifediol, which raises calcium absorption, this can cause hypercalcaemia. Symptoms include nausea, confusion, polyuria and, in severe cases, arrhythmias or renal impairment.
この相互作用をわかりやすく説明すると
Atenolol-chlorthalidone and Calcifediol can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
Atenolol-chlorthalidone belongs to Cardiovascular; Calcifediol belongs to Musculoskeletal.
なぜ起こるのか
Thiazide-type diuretics increase renal calcium reabsorption while vitamin D increases intestinal calcium absorption, giving additive hypercalcaemia.
対処法
Monitor serum calcium and renal function, especially at initiation and after dose changes. Reduce the calcifediol dose or stop the diuretic if hypercalcaemia develops.
