概要
Posaconazole markedly raises dihydroergotamine exposure. This can cause ergotism with severe peripheral and cerebral vasospasm and ischemia of the limbs, bowel or brain.

Dihydroergotamine and Posaconazole are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
Dihydroergotamine belongs to Central Nervous System; Posaconazole belongs to Anti Fungals.

Posaconazole strongly inhibits CYP3A4, the main metabolic pathway of dihydroergotamine.

Do not co-administer; this is a labeled contraindication. Use a non-ergot migraine treatment while on posaconazole.
