概要
Levodopa with a nonselective MAOI such as phenelzine can cause hypertensive crisis because peripheral dopamine and norepinephrine accumulate. Levodopa labeling contraindicates nonselective MAOIs, which must be stopped at least two weeks beforehand. Severe headache, palpitations and dangerously high blood pressure may occur.
