Para que é usado
Como funciona
Precise mechanism unknown; believed related to reversible depletion of monoamines (dopamine, serotonin, norepinephrine, histamine) from nerve terminals. Metabolites alpha-HTBZ and beta-HTBZ reversibly inhibit VMAT2.
Dose habitual em adultos (resumo da bula)
Chorea in Huntington's disease or tardive dyskinesia, Austedo XR: start 12 mg once daily orally; increase weekly by 6 mg per day based on response and tolerability; maximum 48 mg per day
