Unknown Little is absorbed from the vagina or skin. CDC prefers a 7-day vaginal azole such as clotrimazole or miconazole for thrush in pregnancy. The UK nail solution label contraindicates use throughout pregnancy because of the long treatment course.

Safe Not studied; vaginal and skin use give little absorption, so infant effects are unlikely. UK nail label: stop nursing during treatment; US OTC: ask a professional. LactMed: other antifungals, with more data, may be preferred, especially with a newborn.
