摘要

Cisapride can cause dose-related torsades de pointes, and escitalopram also prolongs the QT interval in a dose-dependent fashion. The combination is contraindicated in the cisapride labelling.

Cisapride and Escitalopram are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
